Assistant Director for Fiscal Management, Rosalyn Holder(sfb@gmu.edu)
Assistant Director for Student Organizations, Sara Morrisroe (smorrisr@gmu.edu)
My name is Sara Morrisroe and I have been a member of the Student Activities staff at Mason since August 2006. I was born in Long Island, NY but grew up in Chantilly, Virginia. I earned my B.S. in Biology at Radford University and my M.A.I.S. in Higher Education Administration from George Mason University. Prior to coming to Mason I completed my first year of graduate study at Radford University in their Student Affairs program. While at Radford I was the graduate assistant for Greek Life. My second year of graduate school and first year at Mason was spent in the Student Activities Office where I was one of two graduate assistants for Fraternity and Sorority Life where I advised the Multicultural Greek Council and Order of Omega.
The areas I am responsible for within Student Activities include overseeing all the student organizations at Mason which is about 200. I advise the Council of Student Umbrellas (COSU) which is the governing body for the student organizations and is managed by seven student umbrella leaders. I also program with the Office of International Programs and Services International Week that takes place in early April.
When I am not at Mason I really enjoy going to the beach, working out, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite television shows include The Hills, Run’s House, Project Runway, Real Housewives of Orange County, basically any reality show, and the Food Network. I really enjoy baking, cooking, and crafting. I am a huge baseball fan, Go Yankees, and enjoy watching all types of sports. I am looking forward to a great semester. Go Mason!
