Student Funding Board

Description

The SFB is responsible for allocating the student fees the administration earmarks for student organizations. In addition, weekend-long meetings are held at various times during the academic year at which time a large amount of allocations occur.

The Student Funding Board (SFB) of George Mason University is an organization composed of representatives from each umbrella and a non-voting Chair. Members of the SFB are interviewed and appointed by the existing SFB members to ensure a diverse board that represents the George Mason University student population. Office Hours

To better serve the needs of the Student Organizations, each member serves at least three office hours per week, which are held in the SFB cubical located in the Office of Student Activities. These office hours are designed to provide student organization leaders the opportunity to ask questions about how to properly submit requests for money, manage their funds, organize events and submit their proposals to the SFB. This schedule is subject to change, so check back regularly.

Please note: Due to the fact that the SFB members are also students, they do not serve office hours during the first week of classes (Fall and Spring) nor do they have office hours during the Summer.
