General Appeal Information

After each SFB Hearing, recognized student organizations have the option to appeal the decision of the Student Funding Board.
According to the SFB Constitution:

  • The Student Funding Board shall not hear appeals for reasons other than the possible violation of their Constitution, the Administrative Code, George Mason University policies, or the illumination of facts that were not available at the time of the decision of the Student Funding Board.

Furthermore, after a request for an appeal is received:

  • The SFB Executive Board shall determine whether the full Student Funding Board shall consider the appeal. If the full Student Funding Board should hear the appeal, its decision shall be final and no further appeals shall be considered. If the SFB Executive Board should rule not to send the appeal to the full Board, it shall notify the organization in writing within one week.
