The Fiscal Management Workshop was designed to inform student organization leaders about fiscal policies and procedures. George Mason University is bound by Virginia state rules for disbursement of funds, therefore students must comply with these rules in order to get funding. This presentation contains everything you need to know to initiate a payment or reimbursement process.
Fiscal Management Workshop and Test
Student leaders who want to have access to their organizations' finances are required to view this presentation and then pass a brief test about its contents. The presentation lasts approximately 20 minutes and the test consists of 25 multiple choice questions. Student leaders are encouraged to take notes as they view the presentation.
Who Is Required to Take the Test?
Each recognized student organization's President AND Treasurer are required to view the workshop and take the test once per academic year in order to have access to SFB, SPF or SGR funds . Please note that, even if you take and pass this test, you still need to have SGR or funding from SFB or SPF in order to spend money.
Instructions
When you complete the test, you will have the option to "Preview" or "Submit". By selecting "Preview," you will be able to see how you scored on the test. You can take the test multiple times if necessary to get a passing score (16 correct). Once you get a passing score, select "Submit."
