Fraternity & Sorority Staff


- Michelle Guobadia is the Assistant Director for Student Activities-Fraternity and Sorority Life at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. At Mason, she oversees 30 sororities and fraternities, 4 councils, and the Order of Omega. Additionally, Michelle supervises two graduate assistants for Fraternity and Sorority Life. A member of AFA, ACPA, and NASPA, she graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2005 with a Masters in Higher Education Administration.

Michelle was the 2005 recipient of the ACPA Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals Outstanding Master’s Student Award, the 2005 North Carolina State University Graduate Assistant Award for Excellence, and 1st place winner of the 2004 AFA/Order of Omega Case Study competition. She has served as an intern for UIFI (Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute), a graduate and scholarship winner of IFI 2006, a member of the 2003 AFA Graduate Staff at the Annual Conference, and was a NODA (National Orientation Directors Association) Intern in the Summer of 2004 at Northeastern University in Boston.

Michelle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in the Spring of 2003 and she currently serves as a board member for their Black Alumni Organization. In addition to working at George Mason, Michelle is a member of the AFA Foundation Board and is a facilitator for CAMPUSPEAK, Inc. where she facilitates RBC (Recruitment Boot Camp), Crossing the Line Anti-Hazing Program, LINK and S.A.L.A.D (Seeking Alliances through Leadership and Diversity). She is currently writing a curriculum for a anti-hazing program geared to black-greek lettered organizations. An active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, Michelle is a regular presenter at student and professional conferences. She has presented at MGCA, NBGLC, NGLA and the AFA Annual Conference just to name a few.

- Nikita (Keet) Jones, is a native of Richmond Virginia and a 2006 graduate of Virginia Union University, where he received a degree in Community Based Education with a minor in Religious Studies. Keet is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Gamma Chapter. His goals for MGC are to expand the MGC through chartering/colonizing new chapters and increasing membership. Keet is enrolled in the College of Education & Human Development. His interest includes working with At Risk Youth and coaching his step team. “Welcome aboard Keet!”

- M. Tyson Brown was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, home of Marshall University's Thundering Herd. He attended Marietta College where he graduated in 2006 with degrees in Environmental Studies and Political Science. This past year was spent traveling for his national fraternity, advising 30 chapters across the Midwest and Northwest regions of the United State. Tyson is currently enrolled in the School of Public Policy. His interests include Latin American politics and international environmental issues. “Welcome aboard Tyson!”
